It is true that the Mobile World Congress it is not the native home of televisions or picture and sound. But in the Smartxtv team we do not remember an edition in which this segment has passed as on tiptoe as this year.

Although in general it has been a fairly decaffeinated edition, in which, in general, the novelties have been conspicuous by their absence (who said fear of Samsung and its S9?), The presence of the world of image and sound has been almost priceless. Only in some exhibitor we could see a television or a sound system appear timidly in a corner … but nothing more.

The Mobile World Congress leaves us quite cold … and we are not talking about the snow

It has been cold, very cold, and not only in the streets of Barcelona. The interior of Fira was a coming and going of journalists looking for news that were conspicuous by their absence. And for the Smartxtv team it has been even more difficult trying to extract some juice from an event that, this year, has completely forgotten about televisions.

Barely Xiaomi, who in their store and in their stand wore some of their televisions, or other names such as LG or Sony (nothing new, all were panels that we already knew in advance) have given us some time to stop a few minutes in front of them. We could also see Vestel, a classic in these events. Little more.

Perhaps the most interesting was ESET and its antivirus for Smart TV, of whom we could see a quite interesting demo.

We will have to wait for the IFA in Berlin to see televisions

If we want to know more news about the future of image and sound, the big appointment will be that of IFA from Berlin, an event that is held in the German capital at the end of August and that as you know if you regularly follow us the Smartxtv team also travels to it to tell you the news that, this time, we can know there.
