At a time in history in which, fortunately, the fight against racism and discrimination based on skin color is more evident than ever, it is not surprising that cinema also tries to reflect this reality that is lived on the streets. Precisely about this we are talking to you today and it is that we get the news that Warner is looking for a black actor to play the next Superman. Who could be the candidates?
Possible ringing names for the next Superman
Warner is already preparing the reboot of Superman, a film that will be out of the DC Comics Extended Universe and that will be produced by JJ Abrams. Your scriptwriter will be Ta-Nehisi Coates, but what is unknown for now is the name of the main actor and the director of which promises to become the movie of the year.
As for the actor, at the moment the main name that sounds is that of Michael B. Jordan, known for his roles in Creed and Black Panther. However, it is not ruled out that the next Superman could be played by another unknown actor who rose to fame thanks to this film. Regarding the direction of this reboot, more names have come to the fore, such as Shaka King, JD Dillard, Regina King or Steven Caple Jr.
This news leaves Henry Cavill out of the cast, who played Superman in his last installment, something that, according to his statements, seems to have not sat very well with the actor.
We do not yet have the release date for this film, but in view of the state it is in, we still have a long time ahead of us to be able to enjoy this new adventure of the man of steel on the big screen.
